       Shawl Weaving Artisan - GI Tagging

       GI registration process

       Objectives : At the end of this exercise you shall be able to
       •  identify and register GI that meets the prescribed criteria.


         Requirements

         Materials
          •  Notebook                       - 1 No.         •  Eraser                            - 1 No.
          •  Pencil                         - 1 No.         •  Sharpener                         - 1 No.

       PROCEDURE

       TASK 1: GI Registration process

       Step 1: Form an Applicant Group                      •  If the application is found incomplete, it is sent back
                                                               for corrections.
       •  Only an association of producers, artisans, or
          organizations can apply.                          Step 4: Publication in the GI Journal
